The TechnoTicks are excited for the start of a new FIRST season!

Seventeen FIRST Robotics teams met at Lyme-Old Lyme High School’s “Bash at the Beach” off-season event yesterday. Competition was fierce but friendly, with teams getting the chance to break out their 2019 robots, recruit new drivers,  and re-play the “Infinite Recharge” game theme. This year’s Bash was especially poignant, because the 2019 season was cut short due to COVID 19, and the 2020 season was a virtual challenge, without robots. Everyone was thrilled to be back, seeing old friends and making new ones. Thanks to our co-hosts # Colonels, #2067 Apple Pi, and all of the volunteers and mentors from Lyme-Old Lyme’s Team 236 TechnoTicks for ensuring that the event ran smoothly and a good time was had by all!

New and returning members of FIRST Team 236-TechnoTicks have been meeting each week to get ready for Bash at the Beach! The team’s 2019-20 robot is being worked on by the drive and programming teams, and everyone else has been helping to construct the field, and relearn the parameters of the game. We even played Kahoot to review the rules! Bash is set for October 16th at Lyme-Old Lyme High School. Hope to see you there!

First day of robotics! Returning TechnoTicks 236 team members put together the practice field and tested the 2019 robot this evening. On Monday, the team will welcome newcomers for the 2021-22  FIRST season!

TechnoTicks 236 is happy to announce that Bash at the Beach will be held on October 16, 2021 at Lyme-Old Lyme High School. Details and team registration info to follow. Stay tuned!
